If required we can provide you with Penthrox Sedation, also know as “the green whistle”. This will calm you and help relieve the pain before and during treatment. All emergency treatments will be performed using gold graded local anaesthesia.

Follow these tips according to the emergency you are experiencing, until you arrive at our practice:

TOOTH ACHE
If you haven’t already, make an appointment in one of our convenient locations, then take a pain killer that you would usually take for a headache, this should help until you see one of our dentists. -
BROKEN TOOTH EMERGENCY
Save the piece of tooth that’s broken. If the entire tooth has came out, place it in milk and bring it with you to your appointment. -
LOST CROWN
It is important to bring the crown with you to your appointment. You can use clove oil to help ease any pain or discomfort to your gums. DO NOT use super glue or other sticky substances to glue the crown back on. -
YOU ARE BLEEDING
If you have a cut in your mouth, take a handkerchief and bite hard on it. It may also help to put a cold compress on your face where there is bruising. -
TOOTH ABSCESS OR PUS
If you have a yellow pus coming from your gums or tooth, just rinse your mouth with warm water, don’t do anything to the tooth or gums and don’t attempt to drain the abscess, we will take care of that for you at your appointment.
